What a great place to learn! My passion is helping students and teachers achieve success. I have been with New Caney ISD for over 20 years. My background includes working with special programs with an emphasis in curriculum and instruction. My favorite thing about New Caney ISD is the multitude of educational opportunities available to our students. We strive daily to ensure our campus culture conveys to students that learning is a life long journey!

Hello Kodiak family! I am a native from Mexico and moved to Houston at an early age. I have a Master’s degree in Reading from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX and a Bachelor degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston-Downtown. My Principal certification is from Lamar University.

I have served the New Caney Independent School District for the past 11 years in several capacities. Dual language teacher (2-5), dual language coordinator, grade level leader, and EL instructional coach. I worked at Crippen Elementary (two years), Aiken Elementary (one year), Tavola Elementary (five years), and currently at Keefer Crossing Middle School.

I am a dedicated lifelong learner and am excited to continue serving Keefer Crossing MS as the 6th Assistant Principal. My vision is to serve the KCMS Family by establishing trust and relationships with all Stakeholders.

I am so excited to be RETURNING to my KEEFER Family!

I earned my degree in Economics from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, got married and moved to Texas where I started my first teaching job at the old KCMS building in 2002.  Since then, I have had the opportunity to grow through a wide range of experiences in education (14 years), ministry (2 years), business (6 years) and earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Sam Houston State University.

My amazing wife is the Principal at Sorters Mill Elementary, my daughter is a sophomore at The Texas A&M in College Station and my son is a senior on the Offensive Line for New Caney Eagle Football.

I am very passionate about leading at KCMS, providing professional development to educators and promoting social emotional learning among our students.

I was born and raised in Houston, TX and happily married with 2 children. I received my Bachelors and Masters degrees from Sam Houston State University. My education career started in CyFair ISD as a PE and Health teacher, then I moved to Peet JH in Conroe ISD as an 8th grade science teacher for 2.5 years.

I’m excited to be the 8th grade assistant principal at Keefer and ready to help our staff and students succeed in the classroom and in future endeavors.
