Hello! My name is Juan Ceballos, and I am entering my 20th year in education. Throughout my career, I have served as a classroom teacher, teaching both Spanish and physical education in various school districts.

In addition to teaching, I have had the pleasure of coaching many talented student-athletes in football, basketball, track, golf, and softball. I am excited to continue supporting both teachers and students in creating a positive and successful academic environment.

I hold a Bachelor's of Science from the University of Houston-Downtown and a Master of Education in educational administration from Lamar University.

Before becoming an educator, I worked in the oil and gas industry while attending college and later transitioned into construction management after graduating. Both industries provided valuable experiences, but I ultimately realized that education was where I was meant to be.

I am grateful for the professional relationships I have built, the mentors who have generously shared their knowledge, and the opportunities that have helped shape my career. I look forward to continuing to serve students, staff, and the community with dedication and purpose.

Hello, Kodiak Family!

My name is Destiny Cook, and I am proud to serve as the dean of instruction at Keefer Crossing Middle School. I am passionate about fostering academic excellence, supporting teacher growth, and creating a positive school culture where every student has the opportunity to succeed.

I earned my bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University and my master's degree in educational administration from Lamar University. Over the past twelve years, I have proudly served students and families in New Caney ISD. My career began as a middle and high school math teacher and coach before expanding into leadership roles as a student success coach and an instructional coach supporting English language arts, social studies, and science. These experiences have strengthened my belief in the power of strong relationships, collaborative leadership, and high-quality instruction to positively impact student achievement.

As dean of instruction, I am committed to partnering with our teachers, staff, students, and families to ensure every Kodiak is challenged, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential. I believe that when we work together with a shared vision and high expectations, we create a learning environment where all students can thrive.

It is truly an honor to be part of the Keefer Crossing Middle School community, and I look forward to another year of growth, collaboration, and celebrating the successes of our Kodiaks.

Hello Kodiak family! I am a native from Mexico and moved to Houston at an early age. I have a Master’s degree in Reading from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX and a Bachelor degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston-Downtown. My Principal certification is from Lamar University.
 
I have served the New Caney Independent School District for the past 11 years in several capacities. Dual language teacher (2-5), dual language coordinator, grade level leader, and EL instructional coach. I worked at Crippen Elementary (two years), Aiken Elementary (one year), Tavola Elementary (five years), and currently at Keefer Crossing Middle School.
 
I am a dedicated lifelong learner and am excited to continue serving Keefer Crossing MS as the 6th Assistant Principal. My vision is to serve the KCMS Family by establishing trust and relationships with all Stakeholders.

Howdy Kodiaks! My name is Aaron Tomhave and I am proud to serve our KCMS community! I earned my degree in economics from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, before moving to Texas to begin my teaching career at the original KCMS campus in 2002. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to grow through a variety of experiences in education (16 years), ministry (2 years), business (6 years), and I earned my Master’s degree in educational leadership from Sam Houston State University.

My wife also serves NCISD as the Principal at Sorters Mill Elementary. Both of our children are proud New Caney High School graduates and now attend Texas A&M University in College Station.  I'm definitely a loud and proud Aggie Dad!

I am also passionate about supporting teacher growth through professional development, promoting social and emotional learning, and helping Keefer Crossing Middle School continue to shine within NCISD.

I am honored to serve as the 7th grade assistant principal at Keefer Crossing Middle School. This marks my 23rd year in education, and throughout my career I have had the privilege of serving students at the middle school, high school, and university levels.

Prior to joining the administrative team at Keefer Crossing, I dedicated 22 years to public education as a choir director in California and Texas. During that time, I built thriving choral programs, directed campus musical productions, mentored fellow educators, facilitated professional development, and organized districtwide events that promoted both musical excellence and meaningful student engagement. I also served as an adjunct professor of music education at Point Loma Nazarene University, teaching graduate students and helping prepare the next generation of educators.

As a lifelong musician, I have performed with church choirs and the Houston Symphony Chorus, experiences that have strengthened my belief in the power of music to build community, inspire excellence, and create lasting connections.

I earned both my Bachelor of Arts in music education and Master of Arts in education from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, California. I later completed my educational leadership studies at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, where I earned my principal certification. These experiences have shaped my philosophy of servant leadership and reinforced my commitment to creating schools where excellence, equity, collaboration, and student success guide every decision.

Outside of school, I am a proud mother of two daughters and enjoy spending time in my garden, where I find joy in growing flowers and vegetables.

As the 7th grade assistant principal at Keefer Crossing Middle School, I am committed to building strong relationships with students, families, and staff while fostering a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment. I believe every student deserves to feel valued, challenged, and inspired, and I look forward to partnering with our school community to help every Kodiak GROW & WIN!
